At Piha Surf Academy, our fun and innovative coaching style as well as our range of surf programmes sets us apart from the rest. Our programmes cater for all ages, beginners that have never surfed, intermediate surfers wanting to up skill and challenge themselves as well as more advanced competitive surfers.
Piha Surf School has given lessons to people from all over the world, from 5 years of age to 65 years old. Piha Surf School coaches beginners but also has a special program for intermediate and competitive surfers. Piha Surf School's technical approach and use of video analysis for intermediate and experienced surfers helps them improve faster. Lessons offered all year round.
Located on the Wild West Coast of New Zealand, Piha Beach is a must see. And when you do come to Piha, you definitely shouldn't miss the opportunity to visit the Piha Surf Shop. You will see the “PIHA SURF” hand-crafted wooden sign on your right as you drive down the hill towards Piha beach.
Lion Rock Surf Shop in Piha, on Auckland’s West Coast, is probably the closest surf shop in NZ to the surf. The shop is located on the side of the Piha Store, right across the road from the campground. Wetsuits, body boards, surfboards (new and second-hand), we stock a good range of all your beach and streetware essentials.
