Stingray Bay
Stingray Bay is a small, rocky bay with both a right hander on the southern side of the bay and a left hander on the northern side of the bay. Stingray bay is located in a small bay north of Tangoio Beach, its a long walk north round the point to Stingray Bay. The wave is a hollow and fast, with good barrels on offer. Advanced to expert surfers only. Can get popular with the locals.

Directions
From Napier city head west on Thackeray Street, then continue on to Hyderabad Road, State Highway 2. Continue on State Highway 2, then turn right on to Main North Road, State Highway 2 out of Napier heading north. When you get to Tangoio, turn right on to Tangoio Settlement Road, then turn right on to Beach Road and take this all the way down to the beach. From here it is a long walk round the track past the point, to the next bay, Stingray Bay.
PLEASE NOTE: There is no access from Leyland road as this involves crossing private property which you are not authorised to do - Local farmers do not want anyway crossing their land.
