Marau Point
Marau Point is a right hand point break on a rocky point, located north of Tolaga Bay. Also known as 3 Points for the 3 distinct sections round the point. The point is hollow and powerful with several sections to play with. Requires a big swell to get working. There are also several beach break peaks up Marau Beach which offer some fun waves. Expert surfers only.

Directions
From Gisborne town centre drive east on Gladstone Road, onto Wainui Road, State Highway 35, towards Wainui. Continue past Wainui on Moana Road and onto Whangara Road. Just past Tolaga Bay turn right onto Kaiaua Road, The road will turn to Gravel, and continue down to the beach at Kaiaua. From here it is a long walk north east over the point to the next bay. Requires permission from the farmer to cross his land. Walk is approx 2km.
