Rabbit Island
Rabbit Island is a beach break on a sandy beach. There are lots of peaks down the beach to choose from, with both right and left handers. The wave is fairly fat and slow, great for learning or taking the mal out. Worth check the ends of the island for better bar breaks.

Directions
From Nelson head south on State Highway 6 and continue past Stoke and Richmond. Then turn right at the big roundabout onto Appleby Road, State Highway 60 (sign posted to Mapua/Motueka). Turn right onto Rewood Road, then left onto Ken Beck Drive and road will be gravel. May need to drive or walk along the beach to find a good peak.
