Westport Breakwater
Westport Breakwater is located at the mouth of the Buller River. It can be surfed on either side of the breakwater and both sides feature a sandy beach with a peaky beach break. Westport Breakwater waves offer both right and left-handers and produce punchy waves with steep, gnarly drop-ins. Most suitable for intermediate to expert surfers. River mouths often have strong currents and rips, so be extra careful.
