Riverton Rocks
Riverton Rocks is located in Taramea Bay at Riverton. It is a right-hand point break along the rocky point, into a beach break on the sandy beach. This break requires a large swell to get working. The best spot is the right-hand point which can give a nice long ride when on. There is also the beach break with several peaks along the beach, featuring both right and left-handers. Usually soft, but fun waves. Good for all levels of surfer. It gets colder down this area, so wear plenty of rubber.
