Haumoana is a right hand point break, on a shingle beach, located at the Tukituki Rivermouth. The wave is powerful, with hollow barrels. Best on the incoming tide. Good for intermediate to expert surfers. Be careful, river mouths often have strong currents or rips.

Directions
From Hastings head north on Karamu Road Nort, State Highway 2, out of Hastings. Turn right on to Pilcher Road. At the round about turn left on to Lawn Road. At the next round about turn right on to Mill Road, then left on to Haumoana Road, then left and continue on Haumoana Road. At Haumoana turn left on to Grange Road North, then right on to Domain Road and park by the domain on the south side of the Tukituki River.
