Tuehuru Reefs
Tuehuru Reef is a beach break on a sandy beach with rocky out crops, located just south of The Spit, south of Mahia. there are several peaks along the beach to choose from, with both right and left handers. The waves are punchy and powerful. Suitable for surfers of all levels.

Directions
From Napier, head north on Pandora Road State Highway 2, onto Meeanee Quay and Main North Road out of the city. Continue on State Highway 2 through Wairoa, then at Nuhaka go straight through the roundabout onto Nuhaka Opoutama Road. Continue along Nuhaka Opoutama Road, turn right onto Ormond Drive. WHen you get to Mahia beach, continue straight ahead onto Mahia East Coast Road. The road will cut across to the east coast of mahia peninsula and down the coast through Mahia. Continue south of Mahia, just south of The Spit.
