Wairoa
Wairoa is a beach break, river bar break on a sandy beach at the Wairoa river mouth. There are several peaks around the river mouth to choose from with both right and left handers. The wave is powerful, with gnarly drop ins and hollow barrels. Good for intermediate to expert surfers. Popular local spot, so know the rules and respect the locals. River mouths often have strong currents and rips, so watch out.
