Waihua is a beach break on a sandy beach at the Waihua river mouth. There are several peaks along the beach to choose from with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy, and fun. Good for all levels of surfer. River mouths often have strong currents and rips, so watch out.

Directions
From Napier city head west on Thackeray Street, then continue onto Hyderabad Road, State Highway 2. Continue on State Highway 2, then turn right onto Main North Road, State Highway 2 out of Napier heading north. Continue north until you get to Waihua and turn right onto Waihua Beach Road.
