Happy Jacks
Happy Jacks is a beach break on a sandy beach with boulder points and a small island in the middle. Happy jacks is located in the next bay round to the north of Mahanga Point, Happy Jacks Boat Harbour, which requires either a long paddle around the point or walk across farms land, with permission. There are several peaks to choose from with both right and left handers available. The waves are punchy and fun. Suitable for intermediate to expert surfers.

Directions
From Napier, head north on Pandora Road State Highway 2, onto Meeanee Quay and Main North Road out of the city. Continue on State Highway 2 through Wairoa, then at Nuhaka go straight through the roundabout onto Nuhaka Opoutama Road. Continue straight onto Mahanga Road. When coming into Mahanga turn right onto Blakes Approach and left onto Judges parade. head to the northern end of the beach and from here its a paddle out around Mahanga Point to the next bay, long paddle. Or you may be able to cross the farmers land if you ask nicely.
