Takapuna North Reef
Takapuna North Reef is a reef break off a rocky point at the northern end of Takapuna Beach. Offers both a right and left hander off an A frame reef. The right is fairly soft and fat, but gives a good ride. The left can get quite hollow with a fast take off. Watch out for shallow rocks off the point, and be careful of the marker pole. Good for intermediate to expert surfers. This break can get really crowded, so know the rules and repect the locals.
