Forestry
Forestry is a beach break and left-hand point break on a sandy beach, located just on the south side of Te Arai Point, on the east coast north of Auckland. There are several peaks to choose from along the beach with both right and left-handers. The best break is the left-hand point break at the north end of the beach. The wave is powerful and hollow, with solid walls with which to play. Good for all levels of surfer. This is a popular beach, so know the rules and respect the locals.

Directions
Forestry is located on the south side of Te Arai Point, on the east coast from Wellsford, north of Auckland.
From Auckland, head north on Auckland Northern Motorway, State Highway 1, over the Auckland Harbour Bridge. Continue through Warkworth and, before you get to Wellsford, turn right onto Wayby Valley Road. Turn right onto Whangaripo Valley Road, then first left onto Waiteitei Road. Turn right onto Mangawhai Road, then first right onto School Road. Continue onto Oceanview Road. Turn left onto Busbridge Road, then right onto Redhill Road and left onto Oceanview Road. Before you get to Te Arai Point you will need to turn right onto one of the forestry tracks down to the beach, just on the south side of Te Arai Point.
