Anawhata is a beach break on a sandy beach, located north of Piha on Aucklands west coast. There are several peaks along the beach to choose from with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and fun. Good for all levels of surfer.

Anawhata is located north of Piha, on Aucklands west coast.
From Auckland head west on the North Western Motorway, State Highway 16. Take exit 14 left onto Te Atatu Road. Turn right onto Edmonton Road. Turn right onto Alderman Drive, then left to continue on Alderman Drive. Continue onto Henderson Valley Road. Turn left onto Forest Hill Road. Turn right onto West Coast Road, then right onto Scenic Drive, and left onto Piha Road. Turn right onto Anawhata Road and follow the road all the way to Anawhata beach. Theres a short walk down the hill to the beach.
