Black Swamp
Black Swamp is a beach break on a sandy beach, located between Mangawhai Heads and Te Arai Point, on the east coast north of Auckland. There are several peaks to choose from along the beach with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and hollow. Good for all levels of surfer. Popular beach so know the rules and respect the locals.

Directions
Black Swamp is located between Mangawhai Heads and Te Arai Point, on the east coast from Wellsford, north of Auckland.
From Auckland, head north on Auckland Northern Motorway, State Highway 1, over the Auckland Harbour Bridge. Continue through Warkworth and before you get to Wellsford turn right onto Wayby Valley Road. Turn right onto Whangaripo Valley Road, then first left onto Waiteitei Road. Turn right onto Mangawhai Road. Continue onto Tomarata Road. Turn right onto Black Swamp Road down to the beach. May need a short walk to the beach.
