Rimmers
Rimmers is a solid beach break on a sandy beach, located on Aucklands west coast. Muriwai is a very popular spot in the summer. There are several peaks down the beach to choose from, with both left and right handers, so you shold be able to fins a good spot to yourself. The wave is punchy and powerful, heaps of fun. There are often rips and dangerous currents, so better for the experienced surfers especially on big days. Good for all levels of surfer. It gets crowded so know the rules and watch out for swimmers.

Rimmers is located north of Muriwai, on Aucklands west coast.
From Auckland, take the North Western Motorway State Highway 16 out of the city, through Kumeu. Continue past the turn off to Muriwai and turn left onto Rimmer Road, through the Woodhill Forest, down to the beach.
