Omaha Beach
Omaha Beach is a beach break on a sandy beach, located at Omaha, on the east coast north of Auckland. There are several peaks along the beach to choose from with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and fun. There is often a good left hander at the northern end of the beach and a good right at the southern end of the beach. Good for all levels of surfer. Popular beach so know the rules and respect the locals. Watch out for swimmers. River mouths often have strong currents or rips. Surf club facilities available.

Omaha Beach is located at Omaha, on the east coast north of Auckland.
From Auckland, head north on Auckland Northern Motorway, State Highway 1, over the Auckland Harbour Bridge. At Warkworth turn right onto Sandspit Road, then left onto Matakana Road. Continue straight onto Leigh Road, then turn right onto Takatu Road, and left onto Omaha Flats Road. Turn right to stay on Omaha Flats Road and continue onto Broadlands Drive. From here find a good peak along the beach somewhere.
