Milford Reef
Milford Reef is a beach break/reef break on a sandy beach with rocky points, located in the Milford suburb north of Devonport. There are several peaks along the beach with both right and left handers. The wave is fast and hollow, with a steep drop in and the odd short barrel section. Watch out for shallow rocks off the point. Good for beginner to expert surfers. This break can get crowded, so know the rules and repect the locals.

Milford Reef is located in the suburb of Milford, north of Devonport on Aucklands East coast.
From Auckland, head north on Auckland Northern Motorway, State Highway 1, over the Auckland Harbour Bridge. Take exit 419, then turn right onto Northcote Road. Turn left onto Taharoto Road, then right onto Shakespeare Road. Continue onto Omana Road, then straight onto Ihumata Road. Turn left onto Milford Road, down to the beach and the reef is right out in front.
