Te Arai Point
Te Arai Point is a white sandy beach break located just on the north side of Te Arai Point, on the east coast north of Auckland. There are several peaks to choose from along the beach with both right and left-handers. Has been described as a swell magnet. The wave is powerful and hollow. Suitable for all levels of surfer. This is a popular beach, so know the rules and respect the locals.

Te Arai Point surf break is located on the north side of Te Arai Point, on the east coast north of Auckland.
From Auckland, head north on Auckland Northern Motorway/State Highway 1, over the Auckland Harbour Bridge. Continue through Warkworth and, before you get to Wellsford, turn right onto Wayby Valley Road. Turn right onto Whangaripo Valley Road, then first left onto Waiteitei Road. Turn right onto Mangawhai Road. Turn right onto Te Arai Point Road down to the beach, just on the north side of Te Arai Point.
