Bethells Beach
Bethells Beach is a well-known surf break on Auckland's West Coast. It is a sandy beach break with both left and right-handers. The wave has good punchy peaks which can get hollow. Suitable and fun for all levels of surfer. Bethells can get crowded, so know the rules and respect the locals.

From Auckland, head west on the northwestern motorway, State Highway 16. Turn left onto Lincoln Road, then turn right onto Universal Drive. Turn right onto Swanson Road, through Swanson and continue heading west along Scenic Drive North. Up on the hills, turn right onto Te Henga Road, then continue onto Bethells Road all the way down to the beach.
